She started as an Assistant Accountant, responsible for updating student records, reconciling fees, and managing payments to loan boards and ministries. Her performance and keen attention to detail led to her promotion in 2006 to the role of Assistant Accountant (Reconciliation), where she was entrusted with preparing bank reconciliations and managing journal vouchers. In the same year, she was further promoted to Chief Cashier, where she oversaw critical financial tasks such as preparing weekly bank balances, transferring funds, and maintaining financial records. Her effective management and diligent oversight were pivotal in ensuring financial transparency and accuracy at OUT.
In 2012, Ms. Nsanzugwanko was promoted to the position of Project Accountant at OUT, a role she continues to excel in today. As a Project Accountant, she is responsible for managing the finances of postgraduate projects, preparing income and expenditure reports, and preparing financial statements for external audits. Additionally, she plays a key role in enhancing income generation through consultancy services and managing various financial controls related to project operations. Her expertise in financial oversight has been essential to the efficient management of funds and the transparency of financial operations at OUT.
Before joining OUT, Ms. Nsanzugwanko gained valuable experience at AC Nelsen Limited in Dar es Salaam, where she served as an Assistant Accountant from 2003 to 2005. She was responsible for managing financial records, including payment vouchers, receipts, journal vouchers, and reconciling accounts. Her attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate financial records were crucial to the company’s operational success.
Throughout her career, Ms. Nsanzugwanko has developed a broad range of skills, including expertise in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, budget preparation, and project financial management.
